When stay-at-home orders were enacted in March of 2020, Fieldstone Leadership Network Orange County was quick to respond to the over 400 nonprofit leaders we serve. Within two weeks, Fieldstone4U was created, to connect and respond to the most pressing requests of our nonprofit community.
Today, we are stronger than ever! Fieldstone4U engages and connects nonprofit executives to leading industry teachers, resources, and mentors. Our regular programs have adapted to our nonprofit organizations’ needs, and webinars will continue as needed. With total support from our dynamic and supportive board of directors, FLN-OC has grown organically, based on issues and challenges our leaders face daily.
Previous seminars have included Employment Law, SBA Funding, Board Engagement, Fund Development, Change Management, Volunteer Management, Storytelling, Creating a Culture of Trust & Accountability, and How to Deal with Difficult People, among many others. Remote learning opportunities were also made available to combat isolation and to respond to immediate issues. Many thanks to Janet Buck, Senior Managing Director with First Republic Bank who assisted with SBA and PPP loan questions and to Employment attorneys Tiffanny Brosnan and Ron Brand, who donated their time by providing vital support on navigating a myriad of HR issues. At present, our learning groups are in full swing, offering hybrid technology to best meet our leaders’ specific needs.
Logan Crow, The Frida Cinema Executive Director and Founder, recently shared, “the Executive Learning Group has reminded me that it’s okay to not be perfect; moreover, it’s been a misconception to believe that everyone around me in my same position has everything figured out. It makes me prouder of what I HAVE accomplished, and less intimidated by the idea that there is still a lot to learn and accomplish.”
