Unfinished rock found in fields throughout the world; typically used as building material;
as each individual stone is joined with others to create something of great strength, integrity and durability.
At our inception, we recognized the significance of a name and how it reflects an organization’s identity. We considered the following:
- The name should be in alignment with our philosophy of teamwork, partnership and collaboration.
- The name should speak to solidity, permanence and the value of community.
- The name should be simple, straightforward, easy to pronounce and easy to remember.
“Fieldstone” met every one of those criteria. Today it continues to be the perfect representation of who we are as we carry out the purpose of the Fieldstone Leadership Network Orange County – a community of individual leaders who recognize the serious work of the nonprofit sector and who commit to learn and lead together in service of the community because we understand that we are better together.
